Piping engineers frequently deal with issues like thermal movement, instability, limiting forces on
machinery and vibration absorption. The economics of pipe loops and offsets, available space, and fabrication must be
balanced against the price of expansion joints in the piping design.
By offering piping engineers affordable, engineered bellows and expansion joint solutions for their piping
designs, Bellows Systems has made their lives easier. One of the first manufacturers of expansion joints is its
Kopperman Division, founded in 1894.
Bellows and expansion joints supplier for piping can be used to limit forces applied to sensitive equipment, absorb vibration from machinery,
and absorb direct axial expansion and contraction. They can also be used to increase line stability by reducing and controlling loads on pipelines.
We provide a full selection of standard sizes for piping expansion joints, ranging from 1" to 48" pipe OD. For various pressure classes and vibration loading, we can fabricate
bellows with single-ply wall thickness ranging from 0.004" to 0.072" and multi-ply designs with up to 6
layers. Our high-pressure expansion joints can optionally be made with integral root rings or equalizing
rings-equipped root-reinforced bellows designs.
